Hey Everybody!
A few months ago I was getting really tired of carrying around 5 different eyeshadows in my makeup bag when ever I planned on sleeping over at my boyfriends house. I found the perfect solution to my problem, it was the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. Now, I do have a lot of palettes, but none are as compact as this one is (that is my justification for purchasing yet another palette)
This palette is seriously amazing. You have 5 matte shades and one shimmery shade that I like to use as a inner corner/ upper brow bone highlight. You also can use the second darkest colour to fill in your brows and use the black as a eyeliner! It's basically an all in one product.

The Body Shop - Body Butters
Hey Everybody!
Want to know the best body cream for dry and rough skin? Well it's The Body Shops ever so famous body butters!
These things are super awesome and very moisturizing. I have a slight obsession with them (it's bad, I know). If you ever have a chance to go to The Body Shop, smell a few and give a few a try, you'll be amazed at how moisturizing your skin will feel afterwards.

Review: Daily Mineral Guard SPF 25 Sunscreen
Hey Everybody,
Today I have a review of a sunscreen that was sent to me for review purposes by a company called Ageless Derma.
This sunscreen is created as a daily sunscreen that can be worn underneath makeup or alone if you plan on being out in the sun. The website describes it as a "powerful product that will lead to stronger, more radiant looking skin that is youthful and vibrant. Your skin will be protected from further sun harm while pampered and treated from within. Ageless Derma Daily Mineral Guard SPF 25 is a non-greasy and Parabens free formula that can be used with all skin types"
The product is rather thick, not as runny as some sunscreens. However, I do enjoy that it is rather thick because it feels as though you are putting a moisturizer on your face, rather than a sunscreen.

The bottle comes in a very sleek and modern designed box. On the back of the box describes the ingredients, drug facts as well as a short description of the products benefits.
Claimed benefits on back of box:
- micronized titanium dioxide provides transparent barrier against UVA/UVB rays
- unique phyto-complex improves the appearance of fine lines
- minizes short-term negative effects of UVA/UVB rays
- suitable for all skin types
- non-greasy formula
- paraben-free
I have used this product only a few times, not enough to notice a decrease in the appearance of fine-lines (although I don't have too many considering i'm only 20 years old)
I do enjoy how thin this tube is, it is perfect for throwing in your bag and would be great for travelling! Sometimes big bulky sunscreens aren't worth hauling around, however this is the perfect size to do so.
The product is rather thick, not as runny as some sunscreens. However, I do enjoy that it is rather thick because it feels as though you are putting a moisturizer on your face, rather than a sunscreen.
One of the downsides to how thick this sunscreen is, however, is that it does tend to leave a white cast on the surface that it is put on (see photo below)
The white cast isn't very noticeable but it definitely does whiten up your face a tad (I have a slight tan, maybe this wouldn't be an issue for more fair skin tones)
Overall, I do enjoy this product! It is very refreshing to apply and has a slight minty smell to it. It does the intended job that it was created to do, to provide protection against the suns harmful rays.
You can find out more about this product and other products made by this company on their website www.agelessderma.com

$13 Urban Decay Naked 2 palette DUPE
Hey, Everybody!
A few months ago I found a slight dupe to the Urban Decay naked palette by QUO (click here to view), it was selling for $25 and I thought that wasn't too bad, considering the original naked palette is $60. Although the colours were almost identical in that palette, nothing else about the palette was similar to UD.
BUT, listen to this... are you ready.. I found a THIRTEEN dollar exact dupe for the naked 2 palette!!

Although the colours were almost identical in that palette, nothing else about the palette was similar to UD.
BUT, listen to this... are you ready.. I found a THIRTEEN dollar exact dupe for the naked 2 palette!!
See what I mean? This could fool anybody into believing its real by the front package, and it gets better! Look at the shadows in this palette
This palette is very comparable to the original naked 2 palette in many many ways!
First, the colours of the shadows are almost exactly alike. Secondly, the names of each shadows are the same on both palettes. Thirdly, it comes with a brush built the same (shader brush on one end and a blending brush on the other end).
There are for sure differences between this palette and the original palette, but that's to be expected!
Price: $13.26 CAD
Where to buy: deal extreme website
I love Deal Extreme's website, it is mostly free shipping on everything and everything is at such low prices, but the quality of everything that I order is amazing! They also have other dupes for other makeup brands such as the Naked 1 palette dupe (link), the Balm Nude Tude palette dupe (link), and a Too Faced eye shadow palette dupe (link)
Talk to you guys later!

Summer OOTD featuring bluenotes
Hey, everybody!
I wore this outfit last week to run errands around town and just spend the day enjoying the nice summer heat! Being in Canada, it always feels great once the snow is completely gone and it's finally 25+ degrees outside!
My cardigan, tank and denim shorts are all from bluenotes! I didn't plan this to happen, nor did I think I shopped at that store very often! But this is something that I would typically wear on a summer day and would usually pair this with some flip flops!

My "To-Buy" list!
Hey, Everyone!
Hope you're all having a great long weekend!
I thought i'd share with you some of the items that have been on my "to-buy" list for a few weeks. I'm one of those people that need to write down all of their "to-do" and "to-buy" things on the notepad on their iphone or else i'll neeeever remember!
Hope you're all having a great long weekend!
I thought i'd share with you some of the items that have been on my "to-buy" list for a few weeks. I'm one of those people that need to write down all of their "to-do" and "to-buy" things on the notepad on their iphone or else i'll neeeever remember!
1. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal
I bought this in 'nude' a few weeks ago and have been obsessing over it! I use it on my waterline to make my eyes appear bigger/brighter. I find using a nude rather than a white gives a more natural look. So because I loved it in nude so much I decided that I would try it out in brown and use it on my lid as my eyeliner because I prefer to use brown as eyeliner rather than black on a daily basis.
2. Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
This powder is SO GOOD! When I first apply my Maybelline BB cream my face looks a bit dewy, but once I apply this powder over it my face is automatically matte! It also helps keep your face matte throughout the day. I never find myself looking oily at all with this powder! My current stay matte powder has some serious "hit-pannage" happening at the moment so i'm in need of a new one soon!
3. Bioderma Sensibio H2O
I bought a tiny travel size of this a few months ago before committing and buying the full size to test if I would like it or not, and I think it acts wonderfully as a makeup remover. I'm not exactly a fan of makeup remover wipes, I continuously find myself buying new packs to find out if I'll find a favorite but I never really do. Right now at Shoppers Drug Mart Bioderma is 30% off so I will take advantage of that sale and buy a full size of this bottle!
4. Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids
During spring and summer I love wearing bright vivid colours because it makes your tan pop out! I've been seeing these every time I go to the drugstore and I think i'm going to give in and pick up one to try out! I'm thinking i'll try out the shade "shocking coral"
5. The Body Shop Round Bath Brush
With spring here its finally shorts weather and you need to make sure your legs are exfoliated so that your moisturizer will sink into your skin! This brush looks like a really great size to exfoliate the larger parts of your body such as your arms, legs, stomach and feet. I need!!
6. Yves Rocher Body Wash Spanish Pomegranate
I love my yves rocher body wash in green tea to death but I noticed that they came out with a new scent - Spanish Pomegranate, doesn't that sound so heavenly? I love pomegranates and anything pomegranate scented so I know I will probably love this, maybe it will tie with my green tea body wash?
So, that is everything that is on my to-buy list as of May! I hope you guys enjoyed and don't forget to follow for all of the latest updates and blog posts!

Rebecca

Top 10 March must haves!
Another month has come and gone (wow).. I can't believe it's April already. Anywho... I have been obsessing over these 10 products all month and I decided that I would show you guys just how lovely they are!
1. Elf blush
Elf blush - pink passion
This blush is perfect for spring! I know it looks very intimidating but trust me, a little dab with your brush and a light handed application gives you the perfect rosy colour on your cheeks. This blush had been neglected all winter but it sure has been feeling the love all of march.
2. Maybelline Baby Lips
Maybelline baby lips - twinkle
Before I left for Cuba a few weeks back in February, I picked up the baby lips in Quenched, mainly for the purpose of having a lip chap with SPF. Well, needless to say, I fell in love with the consistency and the smoothness of this product. I decided to give this limited edition baby lips a try because I thought it would give a nice light flush colour to the lips (it doesn't) but, I do love the scent that it has as well as the moisturizing effect that it gives. This lip chap has been in my coat and purse pocket everywhere i've gone this past month and I'm sure it will be a favourite all summer long.
3. Yves Rocher Body Wash
Yves Rocher Body wash - Thé Vert (green tea)
ugh, this scent. It's just too good. This has been a favourite of mine for many many years, I keep repurchasing it. I am a die hard fan of anything green tea scented. Perfume, body wash, lotion. you name it, I have it. This scent smells so light and airy and I love how it lingers on you for a while after you shower, this is certainly a MUST HAVE
4. Revlon Top Speed Nail polish
Revlon Top Speed Quick Drying Nail polish - Jaded
This nail polish is such a pretty pastel mint colour. I only need two coats of this nail polish and I'm all set. It is such a cute colour for spring and i've been sporting it all March. If your in the market for a cheaper alternative to Essie's mint candy apple (or you simply just can't find it in any store.. I'm in the same boat), I highly recommend this!
5. Vaseline
Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
I know what you're all thinking.. what a weird favourite to have. As I was searching through Pinterest a few weeks ago, I came across a pin about how vaseline on eyelashes helps strengthen them to promote healthier and longer eyelashes. I haven't been doing this long enough to see a noticeable difference but I will keep you posted! I've also been using this on my nose. My nose always tends to be dry, so at night I'll take a Q-tip and apply a small amount on my nose and when I wake up it isn't dry anymore :)
6. Simple Cleanser
Simple Sensitive Skin Experts Moisturizing Facial Wash
I bought this about a week after Christmas and I've been using it every night since then. I love how it doesn't dry out my face, break me out or anything along those horrible lines! It's great paired with my Clarisonic Mia (which i'll be talking about later on) or by itself. By far it's my favorite cleanser and i'll probably be repurchasing it once i run out.
7. Avon Eye Makeup Remover
Avon Moisture Effective eye makeup remover lotion
This has been my eye makeup remover since I first started wearing makeup. I'm not a fan of liquid eye makeup removers because in my experiences with them, they don't completely remove my mascara and I wake up looking like a raccoon. This eye makeup remover is great because it simply glides your eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara right off without any harsh pulling or tugging at your eyes (which is a really great thing). And the price tag is only $4.99!!
8. Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express - Blackest Black
I've been loving this mascara this month!! I decided to take a break from my Maybelline Colossal volume express and try the Rocket because I had been hearing so many great things about it. It lengthens your lashes quite a bit, but unfortunately it doesn't volumize them (in my opinion), that can be quickly fixed if you pair it with a volumizing mascara though!
9. L'Occitane En Provence foot cream
L'Occitane En Provence - Dry Skin Foot Cream
This foot cream is amazing. As winter is ending, I need to get my feet ready for flip flop season! After I get out of the shower I apply this liberally to all of my feet (mainly focusing on my heels because that's where i have problem areas) and then put some socks on to help keep the moisture in. I immediately feel a difference in the smoothness of my feet after applying this foot cream. It's a bit pricey but it does it's job amazingly!
10. Clarisonic Mia
This sweet little baby is quite amazing! I had been lusting over this for quite some time and finally decided to splurge a bit and buy it. You will never realize how much makeup you are leaving behind on your face after you wash it until you get a Clarisonic. I was amazed at how soft my face felt after first using this, and still after every use I'm amazed once again! Trust me, you won't regret buying this, and it is well worth all of the hype over it.
That is all that i've been loving this month! I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and don't forget to follow my site for more blog posts :)
Love,
R
